About the Sonoma Shopping District

On the square in Sonoma you will find many tantalizing shops and eateries. From a guitar store with an amazing history to a Basque Boulangerie and many other gourmet stops - of course with great wine pairing - you can spend a beautiful day of culinary treats and great shopping finds. The plaza, originally surveyed by General Mariano Vallejo in 1834, was dedicated as a National Historic Landmark in 1961.
